Tactical Emergency and Management Training


Team-T — Tactical Emergency and Management Training – an integrated, partnerbased education and training program within the GCCC’s Department of Public Safety
(Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice, Fire Science Technologies and
Emergency Medical Services Technology.

This partnership addresses comprehensive emergency response management for the community crisis needs.

Team-T combines expertise, equipment and cooperation with Western Kansas
dispatch, law enforcement, EMS, fire services and community agencies in realistic, hands-on training. Team-T sponsors numerous in-service opportunities for public safety professionals.

Team-T utilizes a wide variety of training tools, hands-on applications and traditional seminar formats on a wide variety of topics. The training schedule is available on these web pages. Dispatch classes for emergency communication personnel uses the StarZ II dispatch simulators. EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operation Course) simulators are used in combination with actual emergency driving for all disciplines. The Range 3000 ( critical decision-making) simulator provides a full range of decision making opportunities for classes. Simulator combinations provide the opportunity to build team-work between all emergency responders within the Team-T simulations room to realistic scenarios on the outside.

The Live Fire Training tower provides firefighters with the opportunity for realistic training and provides additional opportunities for tactical teams to building entry, rappelling and rescue training.
The GCCC Department of Public Safety has successfully integrated the 1st responders into a true team approach in training and preparation for the protection of our communities.

Team-TC is the citizen version of Team-T and provides a variety of citizen classes
including Kansas Concealed Carry Handgun classes,NRA, Women on Target, NRA Basic Pistol, NRA Home Protection, Defensive Driving Courses, the Challenge Course designed for team-building opportunities, and self-defense classes for women and girls.
